About the Role:

Are you a strategic HR leader ready to make a meaningful impact?  Five Star Sheets, a corrugated paper manufacturer in New Carlisle, IN and sister company, FS Transportation, are seeking a Human Resources Director to help shape and drive our people strategy, support business growth, and champion a high-performance, people-first culture.

As a key advisor to senior leadership, you’ll lead initiatives across talent management, organizational development, compliance, and employee experience. This is a hands-on role for a collaborative and forward-thinking professional who thrives on aligning HR strategy with business objectives.

What You’ll Own:

  • Lead the development and execution of HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Drive full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding, and employer branding.
  • Design impactful learning and development programs to support growth and retention.
  • Champion performance management, employee recognition, and feedback culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and a coach to people managers.
  • Promote a diverse, inclusive, and compliant workplace environment.
  • Provide key HR data and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure a seamless employee experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead HR strategy and scale people operations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, organizational design, and talent development.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
